For detailed information about this series, see: Yuyuki at Wikipedia.
Yuyuki is a 1989 Famicom Disk System adventure video game by Nintendo. It was released in two disks, with disk 1 released on October 14, and disk 2 released on November 14. Its full title is Famicom Mukashibanashi: Yūyūki, so it can be considered a series alongside Famicom Mukashibanashi: Shin Onigashima, altough "Famicom Mukashibanashi" (Famicom Fairytales) is considered more a genere tag than an actual fictional series.
The story is loosely based on the Chinese novel Journey to the West (a public domain story from the 16th century), and is about a little girl named Chao who finds and takes care of a mokey she names Goku. Some time later Goku is led away and imprisoned, so the player has to control the two who are traveling separate journeys in order to meet up with each other.
