Thunderbolts is a superhero series created by Kurt Busiek and Mark Bagley, and published by Marvel Comics.
The series follows the Thunderbolts, originally a team of super heroes who stepped up to fill the gap left when the Avengers were declared dead, revealed to be the Masters of Evil in disguise, led by Baron Helmut Zemo. Though Zemo eventually outed his own schemes to the world, his other team members discovered being heroes is more fulfilling than their old criminal lives, defecting from him and reforming.
Throughout the years, the Thunderbolts operated as a virtuous group when led by Hawkeye, Luke Cage, and Bucky, as well as a patrolling force for the corrupted when commanded by Norman Osborn, Wilson Fisk, and Doctor Doom.
