For the Tommy Wiseau film: see The Room.

Room is a drama novel written by Emma Donoghue, which was adapted into a film.

The series follows a five-year-old boy named Jack, a spirited kid who is looked after by his loving and devoted mother. The two are confined to a secured single-room space that Ma has euphemistically named "Room." Seven years ago, Ma was abducted by "Old Nick", the man who is keeping them captive in Room. As Jack's curiosity about their situation grows, and Ma's resilience reaches its breaking point, they enact a risky plan to escape, ultimately bringing them face-to-face with what may turn out to be the scariest thing yet: the real world.
