Firebrand (Red Arremer in Japan), the main protagonist of the series
The Red Arremer series, also known as Makaimura Gaiden in Japan and the Gargoyle's Quest series in English, is an action-adventure platform video game series by Capcom. It's the first spin-off series of Ghosts 'n Goblins starring the eponymous gargoyle-like Red Arremer (Firebrand in English), an infamously difficult enemy in the Ghosts 'n Goblins games.

- Gargoyle's Quest (May 2nd, 1990) for Game Boy, Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console, and Nintendo Switch Online. Known as Red Arremer: Makaimura Gaiden in Japan, and fully titled Gargoyle's Quest: Ghosts 'n Goblins in its English title screen.
- Gargoyle's Quest II: The Demon Darkness (July 17th, 1992) for NES, Game Boy, Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console, and Wii U Virtual Console. Known as Red Arremer II in Japan, with its Game Boy release titled Makaimura Gaiden: The Demon Darkness.
- Demon's Crest (October 21st, 1994) for SNES, Wii U Virtual Console, New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console, and Nintendo Switch Online. Known as Demon's Blazon: Makaimura Monshou-hen in Japan.
