Overwatch is a multiplayer hero shooter video game series created by Blizzard.
Set in the near-future, some time in the mid 2070s, Overwatch follows the eponymous strike team, an international task force that maintained global stability for two decades against robots attacking humanity in what became known as the Omnic Crisis. After several allegations of wrongdoing and failures corrupted Overwatch, the UN passed the Petras Act, which dismantled the team and forbade any Overwatch-type activity. Six years later, new crises are looming, and the world still needs heroes, so former Overwatch member Winston decides to begin reforming Overwatch to protect the peace once again, recruiting old friends and gaining new allies in their fight.
