MultiVersus website bio:
The last thing Shaggy remembers before The Change was exploring another spooky old mansion with his pal Scoob, just like any other day with the gang. He found a strange glowing crystal and, thinking it was rock candy, went to take a bite. There was a FLASH… and then blackness. When he came to, he found himself in possession of incredible powers. He doesn’t know where they came from or how they work, but he’s vowed to use them to vanquish evil and protect the little guy. As soon as he gets some lunch, that is.

Shaggy is an Bruiser-class fighter from the Scooby-Doo Universe, and is unlockable by completing the game's intro tutorial. He is one of the game's launch fighters, first revealed on November 19th, 2021 alongside the game. He is voiced by Matthew Lillard, who first portrayed the character in the live-action film: Scooby-Doo (2002), and has continued to portray him ever since. Shaggy's moveset in MultiVersus is based on the Ultra Instinct Shaggy meme, which in turn is based on the "ultra instinct" transformation of Goku from Dragon Ball Super, creating a Type 3 connection with the series. Shaggy's silhouette is also used for the Random slot on the character select screen and for the Default Announcer Pack's icon.

Special Moves[]

Neutral - Zoinks! - Shaggy charges to build his rage. After fully charged, Shaggy gains rage and applies an Enraged buff to allies. He also drops a Scooby Snack that slightly heals the fighter who picks it up. If raged, Shaggy will dash to his ally, making them enraged and releasing a blast that knocks away enemies. This move is loosely based on the Power Up technic from the Dragon Ball series.

Side - Chiller Instinct Kick - Shaggy does a flying kick forward. The rage induced version of this move is faster and travels further.

Up - Power Uppercut - Shaggy does a flying uppercut launching himself into the air. The rage version hits multiple times, is faster, and travels further. The air version of this move is similar to the ground version, but rage attack does not hit multiple times.

Down - Like, Feed the Hunger - Shaggy pulls a sandwich from the ground and equips it. Once equipped, pressing the input again will throw the sandwich as a projectile. The sandwich can heal allies it passes through. If Shaggy has rage and throws a sandwich, the sandwich will become a large heavy projectile that breaks armour and deals more damage. When used in the air, this move becomes Like, C'mere Man!, where Shaggy launches himself towards the ground, gaining armour and hits nearby enemies upon landing. If induced with rage, Shaggy will create a shockwave that hits multiple times. If sandwich is equipped, then Shaggy will throw his sandwich projectile instead.

MultiVersus website bio:
Velma has been solving mysteries since most people were still in diapers. With her insatiable appetite for answers and expert nose for knowledge, she’s the perfect mystery-solving machine. These days, she’s the undisputed super sleuth of Mystery, Inc., traveling with her friends to uncover criminals and bust hoaxes wherever she goes. She can sometimes get in over her head when she forgets to take her nose out of her books, but don’t underestimate her - Velma Dinkley can still kick some serious butt when she needs to.

Velma is a Mage-class fighter from the Scooby-Doo Universe, and is unlockable with 2,000 Gold/700 Gleamium. She was first revealed on March 4th, 2022 and was released on July 26th, 2022. She is voiced by Kate Micucci, who first portrayed the character in the Supernatural episode: "Scoobynatural", and has continued to portray her since 2015. Velma's passive ability, Snoopin', will have evidence spawn around the Map during the match, either at random or when Velma uses certain moves. Velma and her ally can pick up evidence to fill up her evidence meter. When the meter is full, Velma can call the Mystery Machine (Prior to the Season 1.02 Patch, Velma would originally call a police car), which will seek out the nearest enemy and attempt to drive off the map with them inside. Enemies must struggle to escape the Mystery Machine. Enemies can also attack the Mystery Machine to try and release their teammate.

Special Moves[]

Neutral - Motivational Speaker - Velma delivers a motivational speech beam projectile that repeatedly hits enemies and heals overlapping allies. The final hit of the beam applies a Targeted debuff to the enemy. If the final hit lands on an ally, they are healed and they will fire an additional beam. Velma can aim the beam up or down. Has a chance to spawn evidence on hit. Cooldown applies.

Side - Fast Thinking - Velma charges a sprint forward, which can increase the speed of the sprint. Allies can hop into Velma's arms for the sprint, increasing the attack's power and giving Velma and her ally armour and gray health. Enemies that collide with this move will be grabbed by Velma and thrown upwards at the end of the sprint. Cooldown applies. When used in the air, this move becomes Hit the Books, where Velma opens up a textbook that knocks enemies backward and propels her forward.

Up - Toxic Concoction - Velma spills a toxic goop hazard on the ground and jumps upward. Enemies standing in the goop will receive continuous stacks of ice, before eventually freezing. When used in the air, this move becomes Shutterbug, where Velma snaps a picture downward with a camera that sends her and enemies upwards, breaking armour. This move also has a chance to spawn evidence on hit.

Down - Spread the Knowledge - Velma throws a book projectile that homes onto her ally. Velma and her ally cleanse all debuffs and receive an Educated buff. If the book hits them, reducing the duration of their cooldowns. Cooldown applies.

Scooby's Haunted Mansion[]

Scooby's Haunted Mansion

2022719 July 19, 2022

Scooby's Haunted Mansion is a Map in MultiVersus, based on a generic Haunted Mansion from the Scooby-Doo Universe. The map consists of a single large body divided into five equal sections, as well as a large wall on either side of the stage. These walls can be destroyed with enough damage. A pit is located on the other side of both walls. The mansion's roof has a hole above the Map's middle section from where Fighters can get rang out. If the levers near the walls are attacked, the second and fourth sections of the floor will drop out, creating bottomless pits that can kill Fighters who fall in.

This Map also contain multiple references to classic Scooby-Doo villains, those being one of the Green Ghosts who appears in the background of the Maps, the Caveman who appears frozen in ice in one of the pits, and portraits depicting the Ghosts of Redbeard and Mr. Hyde, as well as the original incarnation of Captain Cutler. There are also two knight armors sitting near the walls (the No Roof variation also has two more in the background) which serve as a nod to the Black Knight. The Chest of Demons from The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo can also be seen buried under the mansion. Two statues can also be seen in the background near the fireplace (one of them is broken in the No Roof variation). These statues will always move their heads and follow one of the Fighters.

Roofless[]
Scooby's Haunted Mansion (Roofless)

As its name implies, Scooby's Haunted Mansion (No Roof) is more or less the same map as regular Scooby's Haunted Mansion but with the roof completely removed. It's also noticeably bigger than its original counterpart.

Music Tracks[]
  • Scooby's Haunted Mansion - An original orchestral composition that takes inspiration from the Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? soundtrack.
  • Scooby's Haunted Mansion (Vintage Mix) - As its name implies, it is more or less the same song as Scooby's Haunted Mansion, but with added old TV static and echo sound effects to give the track a more "vintage" feel to it.

Items[]

Sandwich[]
