Metroid is a sci-fi video game series created by Nintendo.
The series stars Samus Aran, an intergalactic bounty hunter as she fights against the eponymous alien race known as the Metroids. She occasionally runs into the Space Pirates, a villainous interstellar cabal comprised of multiple alien races, lead by her archenemy Ridley.
