MultiVersus website bio:
One of pop culture’s most enduring icons, Bugs is a movie star, action hero, and sports legend with a career spanning over half a century. With plenty of Multiverse experience under his belt and a long history of team-ups, Bugs is arguably one of the least-fazed fighters in the face of this multiversal mayhem. He’s humble about it, but this smart aleck rabbit has been yukking it up on screens small and large since before most of these other fighters could walk. Armed with his wits and a few ACME-brand accessories, he’s ready to let loose the looniness.

Bugs Bunny is a Mage-class fighter from the Looney Tunes Universe, and is unlockable with 2,000 Gold/700 Gleamium. He is one of the game's launch fighters, first revealed on November 19th, 2021 alongside the game. He is voiced by Eric Bauza, who portrays the character in recent Looney Tunes media, such as Looney Tunes Cartoons (2020). His design in the game is based off of both Bob Clampett's design for Bugs and his design in Looney Tunes Cartoons (2020).

Bugs' moveset pulls from many of his appearances throughout the years. His ground up attack, Flying Rabbit's Foot, is directly pulled from "A Wild Hare", his very first appearance. Bugs' ground down attack, Pie Barrage!, has him pull a pie that he can throw, which slows enemies and heals allies. This move is based off of a gag from "Slick Hare". His neutral aerial attack, Helicopter Punch, has him perform a persistent spinning punch that takes reference to an attack from "Rabbit Punch".

Special Moves[]

Neutral - A Safe Investment - Bugs Bunny drops a target for a safe to fall a few seconds later. The safe can be hit, hurtling it into enemies. When destroyed, the safe breaks and drops an item. While not applying to Bugs specifically, safes are a staple of Looney Tunes cartoons. The target he places is taken from the 1963 short: "Hare Breadth Hurry".

Side - Ain't I A Charmer? - Bugs Bunny blows a kiss that stuns enemies and boosts ally. On cooldown, Bugs will use his ears to helicopter forward. In the air, this move becomes Rocket Rider, where Bugs launches a rocket forward and can be ridden by any fighter as a platform. (See Special Delive-Rocket)

Up - Special Delive-Rocket - Bugs Bunny launches a rocket upward, which will fall back to the arena later. Allies can grab onto the rocket as a wall. On cooldown, Bugs will use his ears to helicopter upward. While not applying to Bugs specifically, ACME rockets are a staple of Looney Tunes cartoons.

Down - Bunny Burrow - Bugs Bunny burrows and is invulnerable as he moves underground. Soon after, he shoots up and attacks, leaving tunnels where he started and ended burrowing. Bugs can exit the tunnel early by jumping. Allies that crouch over a tunnel will teleport to the partnered tunnel. Tunnelling through the ground is a staple for Bugs, but the suitcase element of the attack is taken from the 1953 short: "Bully for Bugs".

Taz[]

MultiVersus website bio:
Like the offspring of a tornado and a particularly angry electric razor, the Tasmanian Devil is a spitting, surly ball of manic energy. If you can get him to calm down, they say he’s as sweet and gentle as a kitten, but that’s a pretty big “if.” Taz has a temper that’s outmatched only by his appetite and, trust us, you don’t want to see this Devil when he’s hangry.

Taz is a Bruiser-class fighter from the Looney Tunes Universe, and is unlockable with 1,500 Gold/700 Gleamium. He was first revealed on May 16th, 2022 and was released on July 26, 2022. He is voiced by Jim Cummings, who previously voiced the character in the 1991 spin-off show Taz-Mania.

Taz has a passive ability called Bottomless Pit, which makes some of Taz's attacks deal a Tasty status effect, which will stack whenever enemies are knocked back. When Tasty reaches max stacks, the enemy is turned into a cooked chicken and can't attack. When a cooked enemy takes damage, bits of chicken break off that will heal Taz or his allies if picked up. Taz's ground side attack, Well-Seasoned, has him perform a combo of salt and pepper seasoning, which references the 1957 Merrie Melodies short: "Bedevilled Rabbit".

Special Moves[]

Neutral - Chew Em Up, Spit Em Out - Taz gulps up enemies, disabling them. He can also eat incoming projectiles, destroying them, and powering up his Down Special. Repeatedly press down or neutral input to chew eaten enemies, dealing damage. Press up, forward, or back input to spit out enemies. This move references Taz's insatiable appetite, a common trait seen throughout most of his appearances.

Side - Taz-Nado - Taz spins forward into a tornado, hitting enemies multiple times. If Taz passes an ally, his tornado's duration is increased. Taz's spinning is a common trait seen throughout most of his appearances.

Up - Dogpile! Dogpile! - Taz starts a dogpile that gradually grows in size. The dogpile hits multiple times after an enemy enters, ending with a powerful finish. On cooldown, Taz will instead jump up and swipe twice. While not applying to Taz specifically, cartoony fight clouds are a staple of Looney Tunes cartoons.

Down - You Spit What You Eat - Taz burps a chewed apple projectile that deals a small amount of Tasty. If Taz has eaten a projectile with his Neutral Special, he will instead burp out that projectile, dealing a large amount of Tasty.

LeBron James[]

MultiVersus website bio:
Overcoming the odds and empowering his allies is a way of life for LeBron James, winning multiple NBA titles, MVPs and Olympic Gold medals while being known as the ultimate teammate around the world. However, even one of the best players in NBA history couldn't anticipate the consequences of turning down the egocentric AI “Al-G Rhythm.” Thrown on a world-hopping adventure through the “Server-verse,” LeBron teamed up with Bugs Bunny to lead the legendary Tune Squad to save his son from Al-G in the ultimate Space Jam. Now, facing a new threat, LeBron looks to use his world-class playmaking skills to help his new friends defend their worlds.

LeBron James is a Bruiser-class fighter from the Space Jam Universe, and is unlockable with 2,000 Gold/700 Gleamium. He was first revealed on July 22nd, 2022 at San Diego Comic Con and was released on July 26th, 2022, during Season 1. He is voiced by John Bentley.

Because he is in his Tune Squad outfit, and mentions events from Space Jam: A New Legacy in his dialogue, this makes LeBron distinct enough from his real life counterpart to be considered a Looney Tunes character the game.

LeBron's moveset mostly revolves around his basketball. If LeBron hits an ally with his basketball, it will attach to them. When LeBron's ally does a directional attack they will shoot the basketball in the direction of their attack. LeBron's crouch animation has him tying his sneaker's laces. LeBron's neutral air attack, Make Room, has him perform an under the leg dunk (without his basketball, he slaps his chest, which references his chest slap celebration). LeBron's side attack, Shoulder Check, has him perform a dashing shoulder barge. Without his basketball, LeBron will extend his arms out and shout out a text bubble (Depending on how long the attack is charged, he either says Foul! or #@$*%). This move references his reaction during the 2018 NBA Finals, which became a popular online meme.

Special Moves[]

Neutral - Buckets! - LeBron will aim then throw his basketball as a projectile. He can even aim behind himself. Without a basketball, LeBron will summon a new one.

Side - L-Train - LeBron will launch into the air then dunk his basketball downward, creating a shockwave on the ground that weakens enemies and destroys his basketball. Without a basketball, he will shoulder charge forward. If LeBron's ally has thrown his basketball and it has hit an enemy, LeBron will instead warp to the ball's location then perform the dunk.

Up - Got Hops - LeBron will shoot his basketball upward as a projectile. He can charge the attack to delay the throw. Without a basketball, he will throw chalk upward, which references LeBron's pre-game chalk toss ritual.

Down - Denied! - LeBron will slam his basketball as a projectile down into the ground, bouncing it into the air. Without a basketball, he will create a fence that blocks incoming projectiles. If a projectile is blocked, LeBron will regain his basketball.

Marvin the Martian[]

20221121 November 21, 2022 MultiVersus website bio:
Marvin the Martian has always had one dream in life: Conquering the universe in the name of Mars! However, no matter how hard he schemes, no matter how much he plans, he always seems to end up thwarted by none other than Bugs Bunny, a simple Earth rabbit. Over the years, Earth has continued to be a thorn in his side that he has vowed to eliminate, but he can never quite seem to make it stick...

Marvin the Martian is an Assassin-class fighter from the Looney Tunes Universe, and is unlockable with 3,000 Gold/700 Gleamium. He was revealed on November 15th, 2022, and was released on November 21st, 2022, during Season 2. He is voiced by Eric Bauza, who portrays the character in recent Looney Tunes media, such as Looney Tunes Cartoons (2020).

Special Moves[]

Neutral - K-62 Projectile Modulator - Marvin slams a big red button, hitting enemies and pausing then reversing the horizontal direction of all allied projectiles. While on cooldown, projectiles are neither paused or reversed.

Side - ACME Space-Time Rifle - Marvin fires a projectile from his space-time rifle that will pull the first enemy it hits towards Marvin. Enemies will only be partially pulled toward Marvin if he is too far away. In the air, this move becomes Centurion Headbutt, where Marvin headbutts forward. If he hits an enemy, he will knock them upwards and pop up to follow them.

Up - To Me, My Glorious Ship! - Marvin summons his spaceship above. The spaceship acts as a platform. After being summoned, the spaceship will load then fire a powerful rocket projectile toward Marvin. Enemies can damage the ship to destroy it and prevent it from firing it's rocket.

Down - ...In the name of Mars! - Marvin charges then plants his flag in the arena, claiming it for Mars and sending opponents skyward. Charging increases the size of the hit. The flag deals a lock on debuff that causes allied projectiles to home towards nearby enemies. The flag leaves a lingering area after it is planted that will also apply the lock on debuff.

The Court[]

Space Jam Court

20221019 October 19, 2022

The Court is a Map in MultiVersus. It was revealed and released on October 16th, 2022, and can currently only be accessed in Silly Queue, though it will be made available in standard online modes in the future. It is based on the Serververse basketball court from Space Jam: A New Legacy, with the court itself is a recreation of Dom's basketball video game "Dom Ball". The Map itself also includes multiple references to the Looney Tunes franchise, such as the tree with the "Rabbit Season" sign, the ACME factory, Foghorn Leghorn's farm, Marvin the Martian's spaceship, a giant X from Planet X, etc. The stage also features multiple cameos from other WB-owned franchises that were also present in the movie, including The Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo, the iconic Warner Bros. water tower and the flying ship owned by the classic Hanna-Barbera character Peter Potamus from the franchise of the same name.

The map consists mainly of a giant body players can't go underneath. There is a basketball hoop on each side of the map, with their backboards acting as a sort of pseudo-platforms/walls. The walls of this map are initially closed off, although they will break after accumulating enough damage. A basketball item will occasionally spawn in the middle of the map. The basketball itself acts as an item, and can be picked up by fighters in order to be launched in their opponent's basketball hoop (or even their own), in order to presumably increase/decrease their score (although, as the map is still in its testing phase, this feature has not been fully revealed as of yet). There are also three power-ups that will spawn in the middle of the map, above the basketball's spawning point: The blue power-up grants its user a speed boost; the pink power-up grants its user a jump boost; the brown power-up grants its user a strength boost. There is also a giant monitor that floats above the map that announces some of the events that take place on the map, such as when a power-up appears, when somebody scores a point, and so on. Fighters can't interact with the monitor.

Trophy's E.D.G.E. is a Map in MultiVersus. While both Trophy's E.D.G.E. and Trophy's E.D.G.E. 2 are completely original Maps made specifically for MultiVersus, the backgrounds of these maps, however, feature lots of cameos and references, referred to as "Trophies" inside the game's files, to the franchises represented in the game, one of which being a giant ACME box full of fireworks.
