Marvel Team-Up Vol 3 #14[]

The comic begins with Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus fighting in an alley. As the two fight, a glowing green portal opens up behind them. Spider-Man points towards it, but Doc Ock thinks that Spider-Man is trying to trick him and doesn't look. Suddenly Invincible comes flying out of the portal and crashes into Doc Ock's back and knocks him far away from Spider-Man. Spider-Man swings after them and arrives to find Invincible apologizing to Doc Ock, explaining that he's not from that dimension and he hopes he didn't hurt anyone. Doc Ock recovers while Invincible and Spider-Man talk and hits each of them with an arm, knocking Spider-Man into another street. Invincible then throws Doc Ock far away, much to the chagrin of Spider-Man. The cops arrive and tell Spider-Man and Invincible to freeze, but Invincible grabs Spider-Man and flies off.
The two superheroes land on a rooftop so they can talk. Invincible breaks down with worry over his mother as he goes into detail about his life, explaining how he inherited his powers from his father who murdered a bunch of superheroes and said he was really on Earth to take over the world and that he should help his dad conquer the planet. Instead he fought his dad to protect the planet and his dad left Earth. He then explains that he is now engaged in a battle with Angstrom Levy, a villain with the power to access other dimensions and has thrown him into a bunch of other dimensions in the hopes to tire him out so he can kill him. Spider-Man reassures him, saying to stick with him while he is stuck in this dimension as he tells him his name, to which Invincible criticises it, thinking his name is kind of lame, explaining: "That would be like if I said 'Hey, I've got super powers... I'll be Super-Man'".
Spider-Man and Invincible team-up to track down Doc Ock, with Spider-Man saying they should stop by Avengers Tower to see if anyone has spotted him. Invincible wonders who the Avengers are and Spider-Man explains that they are the premier super team in this dimension, aside from the Fantastic Four and the X-Men. At Avengers Tower, Invincible meets Spider-Man's Aunt May and his wife Mary Jane, as well as the rest of the Avengers. Joking around, Invincible tries to guess their names based on how Spider-Man named himself, giving the nicknames "Robot-Man", "Claw-Man", "Flag-Man", "Fabio-Man", "Bat-Woman" and "Black-Man" respectively. Spider-Man shakes his head and thinks maybe he has a point about his name. Iron Man's armour then picks up a police broadcast about Doc Ock tearing up the harbor, with Spider-Man and Invincible heading out to take care of it.
They find Doc Ock threatening civilians as they arrive. Invincible quickly flies at Doc Ock and tackles him into the harbor before tossing him back up on the bridge and starts tearing his mechanical octopus apart. Spider-Man is impressed and wonders if they'll have time for Invincible to help him with some of his other villains, but Invincible notices a portal starting to open nearby. They shake hands and Spider-Man wishes him luck with Angstrom Levy. Invincible tells him that he actually likes the name Spider-Man, it's grown on him. As Invincible flies through the portal, Spider-Man says that he should go with him and shoots a web onto him, but the portal closes, cutting his line. Spider-Man then realises that would've been stupid as he could've been stranded in another dimension. Spider-Man wishes Invincible luck wherever he is as he swings home to watch movies with his wife.
Invincible #33[]

In Invincible #33, as Invincible battles Angstrom Levy, he flies into a portal and crashes into Doctor Octopus, getting Invincible's point-of-view of the events from Marvel Team-Up Vol 3 #14. Afterwards, Invincible flies back into his dimension through another portal, with a strand of webbing attached to his back.
Invincible episode "I Thought You Were Stronger"[]

In the Invincible episode: "I Thought You Were Stronger", Invincible enters a universe where Agent Spider and Prof Ock (inspired by Spider-Man and Doc Ock respectively) are fighting in an alleyway. He crashes into Prof Ock, profusely apologising. Agent Spider thanks him, but Invincible misunderstands the situation, asking why he would hurt an old man. Agent Spider tries to explain that he's the good guy, noting his experience with alternate dimensions, but Invincible still doesn't believe him before he is grabbed and thrown by Prof Ock. Afterwards, when Invincible returns to his home dimension, a webline can be seen connected to his back from the portal he emerges from as he rips it off.
