The the forty-third episode of the Mario animated series ( fifty-third also counting the Zelda episodes) is a parody of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, since is about Mario and Luigi shrinking after being accidentally splashed by Toad with a shrinking potion headed toward King Koopa. The two wander inside some pipes where they meet four beetles (actually made to resemble the Beatles), possibly a reference to the ant, nicknamed Antie, that the kids meet in the movie. The Mario Bros. eventually return back to normal once they're shot by King Koopa's bugspray, that was secretly filled with Growing Potion by Toad.

In an episode Wayne is seen playing Mario Kart 64, specifically as Peach in Time Trails Mode on Choco Mountain or Luigi Raceway. He happens to be driving the track backwards and as the reverse sign appears he says "How you know I'm supposed to go in reverse!"

DiC, that created the Mario TV show, didn't own any right over Disney's Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, but they only included a parody of the movie.

It's unknown if Disney got the license to use Mario Kart 64 in their show, but it's likely that they didn't need a license to only show a short clip of the game.
