In The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, Drax and Mantis find a cosplayer dressed up as Cy-Kill, the main antagonist of the GoBots series. Drax attempts to kill him, but Mantis stops him and explains to the cosplayer that "GoBots killed his cousin." This line from Mantis implies that the GoBots exist within the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a real species. Afterwards, Drax can be seen attacking the cosplayer in the background while Mantis is distracted taking pictures.
