Super Luigi Bros.[]

NESR2 SLB title

This special mode consists in the full game Super Mario Bros. except that the player controls exclusively Luigi, and the entire game is mirrored.

Championship Mode[]

NESR2 NWC 01

This special mode only available to players that also own the original NES Remix, is based on Nintendo World Championships, and just like it it's divided in three sections with an overall time limit of 6'21. Unlike the original game, though, all sections are based on Mario games:

  • Super Mario Bros.: the objective is to collect 50 Coins.
  • Super Mario Bros. 3: the objective is to collect 25 Coins.
  • Dr. Mario: set at med speed and starting at Level 00, the only objective is to get a high score.

It should be noted that each of the three sections includes the actual whole game, with the only limit being the timer. Both Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 3 are set at 99 lives.
