Mach Rider is a racing toy and video game series by Nintendo.

The original toy was released in 1972, consisting in a race car with a base used to charge it, and it was actually a licensed rebrand of the Hasbro toy Yellow Tail Funny Car. Beside the name, this toy is unrelated to the video game, but it still falls under the same series (also note that despite the different name, Yellow Tail Funny Car can be considered part of the Mach Rider series in this Wiki, since it's the same exact toy as Mach Rider).

The Mach Rider video game was released in November 21st, 1985 for NES. The story takes place in the year 2112, when Earth has been invaded by the forces of evil. The player takes on the role of the titular character, who must fight enemies and save survivors, riding the super speed Mach Bike.

An arcade port called Vs Mach Rider was also released in 1985, while the original NES game was later released on the Virtual Console for the Wii (2007), Nintendo 3DS (2013) and Wii U (2014).
