Eddie the Head, mascot of the band Iron Maiden
Eddie the Head is the mascot of the band Iron Maiden created by Derek Riggs, who is mostly used for artwork, album covers, marketing and promotion. The character originally debuted on February 8th, 1980 on the band's first single cover, "Running Free,". He later got his own video games, Ed Hunter and Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast which now makes it considered to be a series.
