A scene early in the movie shows some of the kids loudly playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on an odd round-shaped tv screen. Specifically they're seen about to enter Ganon's Castle, and getting over-excited to have reached Ganondorf after three years of playing the game. Oddly, on the background it plays the house music. As their friend Katie calls them, they are seen selecting the Mirror Shield and then closing the status screen. Something sometimes incorrectly regarded as a mistake is that Ocarina of Time is a one player game, while the kids are two, however only one of them is actively playing.
The creators of Durango Kids held no right over Nintendo's Zelda, but they only included a small appearance of the game.
