The Doraemon Barcode Battler Cards is a set of 40 Doraemon themed cards to use with the Barcode Battler II console.
It includes 10 hero characters, that are Doraemon, Nobita, Takeshi, Suneo and Shizuka each one in two different versions; 10 enemies cards based on characters or creatures from the manga (including Nobita's mom), 16 item/power-up cards and 4 special cards.
That's considered an in-universe link because this way characters from the Doraemon series can virtually fight original Barcode Battler enemies.

License[]

Barcode Battler's company, Epoch, was licensed from Doraemon's company Shogakukan to produce some Doraemon games, including the previously released Doraemon: Gigazonbi no Gyakushuu (Doraemon: Revenge of the Gigazombie). Being their product, they were able to include Barcode Battler compatibility in the games and also produce the Doraemon card set.
