Found within the sprite code of Armored Warrior there are unused sprites of 3 characters from Street Fighter II: The World Warriors. Down-sized versions of sprites from Ryu, Guile and Chun-Li can be found among the sprite data, with all three having walking sprites and one special move: Ryu's Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku, Guile's Flash Kick and Chun-Li's Spinning Bird Kick. The sprites seems to lack a proper palette, however, so their colors come out scrambled.

Although it's unknown if these sprites are a leftover or were planned to be used in the game, these sprites are heavily reduced in size and appear to match the appearance of the civilians that appear in certain stages escaping the battlefield, so it's possible they were meant to appear among these characters, possibly as an easter egg.

On another note, in an interview found in the Cyberbots-centric guidebook Cyberbots Kōshiki Guidebook 〜 Rengō-gun Gokuhi File ("Cyberbots Official Guidebook Allied Forces Top Secret File"), Producer Kazuhiko Komori revealed that there are robot-sized versions of Ryu and Chun-Li in the test mode of the Armored Warriors Arcade. No further information was provided and is unknown if they are accessible in released builds, or if they are related to the small-sized set of unused sprites.

In the stage "Ring of Arcade" from Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, among the many references to Capcom Arcade video games of the past there's a large board of the mecha Blodia, best known from Cyberbots but which first debuted in Armored Warriors. The pose and art style used to depict Blodia is not based on any Cyberbots artwork, but instead on the key promotional artwork for Armored Warriors instead, giving a nod to its game of origin.
