Like in many sports games when getting an high score, the player is asked to enter three letters, as the player's name. Some of the standard high scores in the game have names that spell out words when putting together the 1st, 2nd and 3rd high score's name for each course.

The three high scores for Easy Life: Revolution Cliff in the Time Trial category are POW, CUR and WIS, standing for "Power", "Courage" and "Wisdom", referencing the three parts composing the Triforce from the Zelda series.
